Introduction

Dear Baby Snow,

It's been quite a ride but you're here. You're here and you're perfect. Six months old with the cutest blue eyes and the biggest smile. You weren't easy that's for sure. Pregnancy turned into sickness that turned into ulcers. You got sick and ended up in hospital for 4 days.

But the important thing is you're here. You're talking now. Saying momma to get your way like a difficult little man.

Don't want a bath? "Mommmaaaa". Dad's a hardass like always. You're crying doesn't win him over like it does me. You can't guilt him into picking you up.

You hate snuggles. I've met tons of babies but none of them hate snuggles as much as you. We try, trust me when I say we try, but you aren't having it.

You'll only snuggle once you're tired out from playing which takes hours, by the way.

So the other day I was playing with you, your favorite game where we lift you and say "weeee", and you vomited all over my face. It was in my mouth and my eyes and up my nose and all I could do was laugh.

You have that affect on me. No matter how gross you can be, and trust me babies are seriously gross, I still laugh and smile. My entire life lights up with up you baby snow.

You used to not eat or sleep unless we played Elton John for you. Only Elton John. The song "Your Song" still calms you down to this day.

If you won't sleep I sing it to you, off key mind you, but it calms you.

It's been six months since you were born but it flew by. They aren't kidding when they say you blink and your baby is grown up. I still remember bringing you home and thinking "What do I do with it?". Since I first put you in your bed and woke up every five minutes to check on you. You sleep so soundly baby snow.

Even now as you sleep beside me I find myself checking on you.

Let's see, what else can I tell you? You have a favorite blanket. It just so happens to be my blanket that dad bought me for Christmas but I suppose I'll share, just for you. You have a favorite toy, it's a mooshroom from the game Minecraft. It was also mine at one point, you steal mom's stuff a lot.

You eat solids, when we remember to give them to you, sleep through the night, and giggle at the smallest things. You love everyone, there's never been a person you don't like.

You fell off the bed a few days ago baby snow. It was the scariest thing I've ever had happen. You'll get hurt plenty more I'm sure. I can't protect you from everything but man I wish I could.

You'll fall, stumble, cry, get broken hearts, and cuts but that's life baby Snow. Just know I'll always be here to make it better when you need me.

~Until Next Time Mom.
